Magali Fitzgibbon is the Legal and Governance Director at ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute), where she oversees legal strategy and governance in the dynamic field of telecommunications and standardization. Previously, Magali served in various positions, including as an IP Legal Expert at Inria (Institut National de Recherche en Informatique en Automatique), where she had the opportunity to work on intellectual property issues related to software and technology transfer, and contributed to the development of a methodology for IP analysis in software, foreshadowing the importance of software bill of materials in software supply chain management. Magali is passionate about the intersection of technology, law, and governance, and regularly contributes to discussions on the future of intellectual property in innovation and in a global context.
