Roeland is a partner at HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER. He practices in all areas of intellectual property law, with a focus on patents. He represents national and international clients before the Unified Patent Court (UPC) and the Dutch courts, in proceedings about telecommunications, life sciences and mechanics. He has been involved in many cases on standard essential patents and developed a particular expertise on FRAND cases.

Roeland’s soft IP practice focuses on product design (i.e., design rights, copyrights and slavish imitation). In previous years, Roeland litigated cases about the design of inter alia wallets, curtain rails and potato fries.

Roeland is a member of the board of the Dutch Association of Intellectual Property Litigation Lawyers (VIEPA).
