Karin Hofmann has over 25 years of experience in technology transfer. As Head of the Patent and Licensing Office at TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology), she oversees the patenting and commercialization of inventions, with a personal focus on mechanical engineering, 3D printing, medical technology, and other innovative fields. She played a key role in establishing the university’s intellectual property rights (IPR) policy and its technology transfer services.

Karin serves as President of the Licensing Executives Society (LES) Austria and Co-Chair of the Education Committee at LES International. She also develops and delivers lectures and seminars on patent exploitation and licensing.
