As Counsel in the Transactions team at Carpmaels & Ransford, Simon assists clients in obtaining good, valid title to IP. He has extensive experience of the IP aspects of research and development, which means he is particularly well placed to assist clients in relation to contracts surrounding research projects and their interplay with related patent prosecution issues, such as the law on priority rights. His extensive experience in successfully restoring inadvertently lapsed patents at WIPO, the EPO, the UKIPO,  as well as at IP offices around the world further helps his clients in maintaining such valuable rights.
