Marek acts as managing partner at LDS Lazewski, Depo and Partners, supervising the firm’s practice in driven and standardized part of the firm’s services that includes portfolio management.
Marek specializes in complex patent, trademark and design prosecution and litigation; has particular experience in life-science patent litigation area having been involved in life-cycle management of several highly successful international pharmaceutical products, managing complex interactions between experts, courts and the Polish Patent Office; supervising and conducting prosecution, validity and infringement proceedings in Poland related to patents covering these products.
Throughout his career, Marek has been actively involved in international intellectual property organizations, such us Licensing Executives Society (LES), AIPPI Poland (The International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property), and International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI). He was the first Polish member of EPLIT. He was also involved in the activities of the Polish Patent Attorneys Bar and currently serves on the disciplinary prosecutors. Advised the Polish Ministry of Economy on the legal and economic problems involved in the introduction of the Community Patent in Poland.
From September 2019 to October 2021 he was the Secretary General of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) in Zurich, which gave him unparalleled access to international policy development in the field of Intellectual Property.
