Mr Daniel Papst graduated from the University of Karlsruhe/Germany in electrical engineering and information technology with a focus on electric drives and power electronics in 2000, earning a Dipl.-Ing. degree (comparable to a M.S.). As an intern at the Chicago IP boutique Welsh & Katz Ltd. he gained patent law experience in the US. Mr Papst has started out at an IP law firm in Munich/Germany. Being a licensed German patent attorney since 2005 he joined Papst Licensing operatively in that same year. In 2009 Mr Papst became one of the Managing Directors of Papst Licensing. He currently is a member of AIPPI, VPP, LES and IEEE.
Papst Licensing GmbH & Co. KG was established in 1992 by its founder Georg Papst and is owned by him and his brother. Papst Licensing and analyses technologies, markets and products. Papst manages and supervises the patent portfolios to be monetized, drafts and monitors license agreements. In addition, the correct accounting and payment of license fees is monitored by PL. We have extensive litigation experience. We can draw on negotiation know-how from more than 180 license agreements.
