Catalina Petric Araos is a leader in applied research, innovation, and technology transfer, with a strong focus on industry-driven R&D and real-world impact. She currently serves as Director of Applied Research, Innovation and Technology Transfer at Duoc UC, one of Chile’s leading technical and professional institutions.

Her work centers on connecting academia with the socio-productive sector, leading multidisciplinary teams to identify, validate, and solve industry challenges through applied research and innovation. She has extensive experience in building innovation ecosystems, developing collaborative projects with companies, and designing mechanisms for effective knowledge and technology transfer.

Catalina also teaches in innovation and MBA programs at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and actively contributes to initiatives that promote innovation, sustainability, and public value creation.
