Gabriella Muscolo, a member of the Rome Bar, is Of Counsel at Rucellai & Raffaelli. She previously served as a judge, most recently at the Rome Business Court, and as a member of the Italian Competition Authority (Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato), where she also performed the functions of President for a period.

Gabriella Muscolo is a member of the Board of Appeal Committee (Commissione dei Ricorsi)
and an alternate member of the Board of Appeal Committee of the EPO, and she has also served as a member of the Enlarged Board of Appeal of the European Patent Office.

She teaches in the Master’s Programme in Competition and Innovation at LUISS Guido Carli University and is a Fellow of King’s College London, Dickinson Poon School of Law. She lectures at numerous Italian and foreign universities.

She is a frequent speaker and moderator at conferences and seminars in Italy and abroad, and the author of numerous publications in Italian and English in the fields of competition law and intellectual property law. Her areas of expertise include antitrust law and intellectual property law, at the national, European, and international levels.

Gabriella Muscolo is a member of several professional associations, including the Italian Association of European Lawyers (a member association of FIDE), where she serves as Vice- President; Friends of ERA, where she is Head of the Italian Chapter; the Licensing Executives Society (Italy and International); and the Advisory Committee of 4IP. She has served on the Board of Trustees of ERA and, in her capacity as a judge, was a member of the Association of European Competition Law Judges and the Intellectual Property Judges Association.
