Cara Regan is a partner in Finnegan’s Washington, DC office who assists clients in evaluating infringement risks and negotiating license agreements, particularly in matters where licensing considerations intersect with patent and trade secret disputes. Her practice focuses on complex intellectual property litigation involving a wide range of technologies. Cara’s experience includes district court and International Trade Commission (ITC) actions, post grant challenges before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, where she previously served as a law clerk. She regularly advises clients on pre suit due diligence, claim construction, discovery, dispositive and Daubert motions, post trial briefing, and the coordination of parallel PTAB proceedings.
